A Figueira Rubaiyat serves some of the best steaks in South America, possibly even in all of America. Or maybe the whole world. This understated, brick-walled restaurant—built around a 130-year-old fig tree—is an undeniably classy affair.
The meat, which comes to A Figueira Rubaiyat directly from the owners’ “fazenda” (cattle ranch), gives new meaning to the word “fresh”. The restaurant’s chefs prepare it using traditional, Inca-inspired cooking tools and methods: steel pans, earthenware ovens.
By the time they make it to the table, the steaks are soft as butter and twice as tasty. Meat lovers of the world take note: A Figueira Rubaiyat is a paradise of grilled meat.
